Alverta M. Barnes, 89, passed away on Saturday, January 28th, 2012 in Cedar Haven Nursing Home, Lebanon. She was born in Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Charles and Minerva Evans Miller. Mrs. Barnes was employed by the Lebanon Box Factory where she retired. In her later years, she was well cared for by her daughter-in-law, Sandra, at their home.
Surviving is her son, Rufus Laudermilch, companion of Sandra L. Moll of Lebanon; grandchildren: Leroy Yost, Lilly Yost, Joseph, husband of Kim Laudermilch, Nichole M. C. Osewalt, all of Lebanon; great grandchildren: Beatrice and Allen Laudermilch of Lebanon. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Miller.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc., 508 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, PA 17042 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Roger A. Bucy, pastor of visitation for Salem Lutheran Church, officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
