HOLLENBACK, ESTHER Died Thursday, December 19, 1985, at Mary Janes Nursing Home, Montrose after a three month illness. Age 68 years. Esther Benkert was born Jan. 17,. 1917 in Swan Creek Township and resided most of her life in Maple Grove Township. She was married to Albert J. Hollenback Sept. 27, 1941 in Saginaw. He predeceased her Aug. 30, 1976. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Maple Grove and the Altar Society. She was a housewife and helped her husband farm. Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law. Albert M. and Connie Hollenback. New Lothrop; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Kenneth Klimas, Seville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Scott, Jennifer, Kelli annd Jodi Hollenback and Christi, Geoffrey and Kimberly Klimas; three sisters, Ernestine Hart, Saginaw: Loretta Benkert, Saginaw; Helen Lach, St. Charles. She was preceded in death by a son James and two brothers, Michael and Nicolas Benkert. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Maple Grove. Rev. Robert Navarre will officiate with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Whelpley Funeral Home in New Lothrop after 1:00 p.m. Saturday. There will be an Altar Society Rosary at 2:00 p.m. Sunday and a scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
