Anders O. Wickman left his native Finland and emigrated to America in 1887. He stopped at a few places along the way, but settled in Rocklin where he initially was a worker in the quarries and later leased one and operated it for almost 30 years. He was civic minded and was a town trustee in Rocklin for over 20 years and also served several years as a mayor of the town. He married three times (two wives passed away) including Hilda Isaacson, Anna North, and Anna Tullila. By his three marriages he was the father of eleven children. He died in Berkeley in 1949.
