A retired nurse who dedicated a large portion of her career to the elderly of Pointe Coupee Parish, she died at 1:10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She was 69, a resident of Morganza and native of Pointe Coupee Parish. Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads, on Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jeff Stanfield. Interment in False River Memorial Park. Survived by her husband of 45 years, Franklin Brown; daughter, Connie Midkiff, of Deridder; son, Kevin Brown, of Pittstown, N.J.; three sisters, Jean Adams, Dottie Faye Howard and Florence Debetaz; four brothers, Mack Myers, Larry Myers, Loyd Dean Myers and Roger Myers; grandchildren, Jordan Michael Andre, Sarah Nichelle Brown, Timothy Brown, Chelsea Andre and Emily Brown; great-grandchildren, Taylor Grace Andre and Mason Andre.
