DORCHESTER Jessie Copeland, 82, Dorchester, died at 1:35 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Peace United Church of Christ, Dorchester, with the Rev. Sammuel Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons Kurt, Larry Jr., and Scott Copeland, Kevin Fleming, and Duane and David Nowak. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Maurina Funeral Home, Dorchester. The former Jessie Ireland was born Nov. 9, 1904, at Abbotsford. She was married to William Copeland Oct. 22, 1920, at Abbotsford. He survives. She did housework and had taken care of children in various homes in the Dorchester area. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ and its Ladies Guild. Surviving, besides her husband, are six daughters, Mrs. David (Margaret) Senn, Buffalo, N.Y.,.Mrs. Tom (Ann) Shiro, Abbotsford, Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Nowak, Stetsonville, Mrs. Wayne (Mildred) Kayhart, Spencer, Mrs. Ed (Nora) St. Germaine, Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Dave (Doris) Rosenthal, Knowles; eight sons, LaVerne, William Jr., and James, all of Springfield, Mo., Glenn, Dorchester, Marvin, Albequerque, N.M., Leon, Fox Lake, Raymond, Curtiss, and Larry, Edgar; 47 grandchildren and 50 greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Milton and Merle; and two daughters, Joyce and Kathrine.
