Billy Rabon Lisenby

Billy Rabon Lisenby, age 78, of Blakely, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 27 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Odom and Rev. James Labolita officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Donalsonville. Visitation will be held tonight (Thursday, January 26) from 6:00-8:00 pm at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
Born in Seminole County on April 30, 1933, he was the son of the late Rabon Lisenby and Annie Shelley Lisenby. He served his country in the United States Air Force and attended Springfield Baptist Church. He was retired from Georgia-Pacific at Cedar Springs, where he worked for many years as a mechanic, was a member of the American Legion, Masons, and Shriners and was active in these organizations as long as his health permitted. He also served on the board of directors for Five Star Credit Union.
Survivors include his brothers, Berkley Lisenby of Jakin, and Oscar Lisenby and his wife Elizabeth of Tallahassee; sister-in-law, Mary Lisenby of Donalsonville; brothers-in-law, Sandy Hill of Dothan, Joe Hill of Demopalis and Ivey Hill and his wife Betty of Tallahassee; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vivian Hill Lisenby, and his brother, Wesley Lisenby.
Pallbearers will be David Lisenby, Chris Lisenby, Mark Pace, Mike Rister, Paul Lisenby, and Nathan Lisenby.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Five Credit Union and the American Legion
