Memorial services for PFC Edward Rusch, 23, who was killed in action in Belgium Dec 28 will be held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon in Zion Methodist Church with the Rev A.J. Lindgren officiating.

Members of the Noble-Straubel Post No. 2037, VFW, of which Private Rusch was a member, will take part in the ceremony.

The son of Mr and Mrs Matt Rusch, Oneida, the soldier graduated from West High School, and enlisted in the Army in May 1943. He took basic training at Fort Riley, KS, and then joined the paratroopers. After training at Fort Benning, GA, he went to Ireland and England. He participated in D-Day operations with an airborne division in France and was sent to England on furlough. He then served with the 82nd Airborne Division in Holland, France, and Belgium.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his twin sister, Edna, and another sister, Mildred, both at home.
