Ruby G. Piggott, 71, of Iberia died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at her home. She was born March 15, 1932, in Iberia to Arkley and Belle Clark Hensley. On May 23, 1948, she was married in Waynesville to James Daniel Piggott, who died Oct. 18, 2002.
Mrs. Piggott was a member of the Crocker VFW Post 4956 Ladies Auxiliary and the Military order of the Cooties.
Surviving are three sons, Tommy Piggott and Jimmy Piggott, both of Iberia, and Daniel Piggott of Brumley; two daughters, Linda Sue Shreve and Mary Jo Cochran, both of Iberia; a brother, Gerald Hensley of Overland Park, Kan.; two sisters, Jennette Whittle of Iberia and Barbara Rollins of Crocker; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery near Iberia.
