Carl "Big Guy", is the husband of Marien Doherty. They married 49 years, May 19, 1962, at Our Lady of Grace Church.
He is the father of Carl W (Leasa) Horst, Jr., Teresa (Mark) Walters, Doug (Diana) Horst and Sara (Phil) Jeck. Carl is the grandpa of Ryan, Evan and Logan Horst, Brooke, Jake and Josh Walters, Rachael, Kelsey and Lauren Horst. He is the brother of Mary Anne Weber, William Horst, the late Patricia Horst and the late Michael Horst.
Carl was a salesman. He is best known for his long tenure with Sears, in the Appliance Department at Western Hills.
He also spent time as a bus driver for Klug Bus Service, and for many years was a shuttle bus driver during the OLL Festival.
In lieu of flowers, The Horst Family suggests memorials to Juvenile Diabetes Assoc., 8041 Hosbrook Rd, Suite 422, Cincinnati (45236).
