Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon in the Baptist church for E.V. Kern, 77, who passed away Friday night in the home of his daughter & family, Mr & Mrs Robert McCroskey, west & south of town. Rev A.L. Busbee conducted the services. Music was furnished by a double quartette composed of Mrs Harry Youngblood, Mrs Jim George, Mrs E.D. Culp, Mrs Ralph Hovis, Irvin Gitthens, Bennie Douglas, R.B. Steves, & N.J. West. The pallbearers were: Tom DeShazo, Horace Barnes, Buck Main, Verle Barnes, Ralph Hovis, & Bill Callahan.
Survivors include 3 sons, Egbert of Oklahoma City, James of Pawnee, & Brentz of Chickasha, 2 daughters, Mrs Leonard Ramer of Watonga, & Mrs Robert McCroskey of Tuttle, 24 grandchildren, & 5 great-grandchildren.
Interment was made in the Tuttle cemetery under the direction of the Sowers funeral home.
