BUILT, FIXED INSTRUMENTS, 21
Christopher Joseph Seward, 21, of Doylestown Township in Bucks County, who was skilled at building and repairing stringed instruments, died Tuesday after an accident in Bensalem.
Also killed was Bradford K. Halpin, also 21, of Buckingham Township in Bucks County, a printer for an industrial products company.
Both died of multiple injuries at the scene of the accident after the Mercury driven by Mr. Seward drifted off the road, striking a disabled dump truck and then a tree on southbound Interstate 95 south of Street Road, said Bucks County Deputy Coroner Robert Zebley.
At the time of his death, Mr. Seward was employed in the landscaping and construction fields.
Born in Doylestown Borough, he attended the Perkiomen School and Central Bucks High School East before graduating from the Gallup School in Michigan, where he received training in building and repairing stringed instruments such as guitars. He also attended Bucks County Community College.
His other interests included composing music and poetry.
Mr. Seward was a Doylestown Township resident for many years and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Doylestown Borough.
He is survived by his parents, James W. Sr. and Marie O'Donnell Seward; two brothers, and a sister.
