"Charles Newman Miller of Overland Park, Kansas, was born on the Miller family farm outside of Gouldbusk, Texas, and passed away on January 25, 2012. The third child of John Manley Miller and Annie Pearl Harris Miller, Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his older siblings, John M. (Jay) Miller, Jr., and Marilyn (Mary) Miller Sewell.

"Charles is survived by his wife, Margaret (Maggie) Billeter Miller of Overland Park, Kansas; his two sons, Charles N. (Chas) Miller, Jr., of Watauga, Texas, and David Wayne Miller of Hart, Texas; and David's wife, Welda Porterfield Miller.

"Charles grew up in and around the area of Coleman, Gouldbusk, and Mozelle, Texas, and attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville before joining the Air Force where he served as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He later attended the University of Utah where he earned his degree in Civil Engineering. He was a well-respected business leader with Eimco/Envirotech from 1959 until his retirement in 1996.

"He married Maggie Billeter in 1953, and along with their sons they lived in Utah, California, and Texas before settling in Overland Park, Kansas in 1979.

"A Memorial Service honoring Charles was held in the Miller's home on Sunday, January 29, 2012. Graveside services were held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2012 at Brown Ranch Cemetery, with Elder Robert Duckworth officiating. Services were under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman."
