Account from the Devil's Lake Inter-Ocean news, July 28, 1905, page 8. "Death's Sad Work" Wm. Richter was buried Saturday, the funeral services being conducted at the home. Rev. James of this city officiating. The esteem and respect in which the deceased was held in the community in which he lived was shown by the immense throng which followed the remains to their last resting place, one hundred and sixty carriages forming the funeral train. He leaves a wife and one child to mourn the sad death of a devoted husband and loving father.
