Ethna F. Benedict, was born on July 8,1878 in Pennsylvania to Nelson C.(1848-1929)and Harriet V.(Goodwin,1850-1937)) Flyte, both from New York. She was preceeded in death by her only sibling, a brother, Nason W. Flyte, 1881-1922. Mrs. Benedict became a widow, having been married to Edward Adolph Benedict, 1874-1920 and her only child died shortly after birth. She was a lifetime school teacher, retiring in San Diego, California. Although leaving no children of her own to survive her, she has a namesake, Ethna J. Woldridge. It was a pleasure to give this woman a namesake to be remembered by.
