Dorothy Van Asch, 70, of Kelliher, died March 20, 1996 at North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji.
She was born Feb. 22, 1926 in Milbank, S.D. to George and Josephine Anderson. She had worked at a Milbank bank before her marriage to Bernard Van Asch May 1, 1948 in Milbank. They lived in West St. Paul for many years and moved to Kelliher in 1976. She had worked at the Kelliher Care Center.
She is survived by two sons, James Van Asch of Coon Rapids and Richard Van Asch of Proctor; five daughters, Linda Blanchette of Ham Lake, Kathleen Van Asch of Blaine, Deborah Van Asch of Lansing, Mich., Carol Tews of Ham Lake and Karen Ochlerking of Big Falls; 14 grandchildren; one great-granchild; a brother, Gene Anderson of Kiel, Wash.; and two sisters, Margaret Fortin of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Eunice Flanagan of Garrison, S.D.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 20, 1992 and a daughter, Sandra in 1975.
