Mrs. Ida Dawson, 70, a resident of Rock Island 15 years until two years ago, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Theodore T. Cork, 419 Third Street, Rock Island.
She was born Jan. 25, 1874 in Jordan township, Whiteside County, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Hess.
She was married to Jacob A. Pfundstein, Oct. 18, 1894, who preceded her in death. She later was married to Garley Dawson. Four children preceded her in death.
Surviving is two sons, Floyd Pfundstein, Rock Falls and Lawrence Pfundstein, Rock Island; five daughters, Mrs. Garland Smith, Milledgeville; Mrs. Earl Webb, Mrs. Ralph Thebb, both of Dixon; Mrs. Cleo Emerick and Mrs. Theodore Cork, both of Rock Island; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Peterson, Dixon and Mrs. Lizzie John, Sterling.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at Melvin's chapel, Sterling. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Sterling.
