Son of David Isaac & Harriet (Ashcraft) Griffet. Noted are various spellings of his name: Edwin Griffith, Griffit, Edward A, also on his WWI Registration was a BD of 10 Apr 1884. He married Olive Evelyne 'Eva' Sampson in May 1912, Christian County, Illinois at the home of his sister in law, Ida Griffet. They had 4 children: Franklin, Harry and 2 other children, names unknown. Per Obituary, Edward passed away at home from Pneumonia and Influenza (probably Spanish Flu). His son Franklin, passed away in the local Hospital on 25 Dec 1918. Olive passed away 31 Jan 1919. In 1920, Harry was found living with his Uncle David but I cannot locate the other 2 children.
