JAMES T. DALTON, JR. DIES; WAS RETIRED CLERK OF COURT
James Taylor Dalton, Jr., 78, prominent Bastrop citizen and businessman, died Tuesday night at his home at 591 East Madison Street after an illness which lingered for nearly a year. Death came to Mr. Dalton at 9:30 pm last night. He was born in Morehouse Parish and lived his entire life an outstanding citizen of Bastrop. Mr. Dalton held the office of Clerk of Court for 16 years. He was retired from business, but was a member of the Bastrop Federal Savings and Loan Association. Interment will follow services in the Old City Cemetery.

Mr. Dalton is survived by a niece:
Mrs. R. E. Hardy of Camden, Arkansas
Two nephews:
James H. Dorman of Monroe, Louisiana
Frank N. Dorman of Oklahoma City, Louisiana
