He was a member of Falkner United Methodist Church, retired from Mississippi State Forestry Service, a member of Walnut V.F.W.,American Legion #81, and North Mississippi Trail Riders Assoc.
Services were held Saturday November 17, 2:00 p.m., at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro.Elmer Paseur, Bro. J.C. Walker, and Bro. Frank Rushing officiating. Burial was in Falkner Cemetery with Ripley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Ruth love Jones, Falkner; his mother, Mrs. Annie Jones of Falkner, MS; one daughter, Ruth Ann Griffin, Falkner; one brother E. B. Jones, Ripley; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers were; Randy Jones, Allen Cossitt, Billy Cossitt, Roy Cossitt, Luther Cossitt, and Maurice Holley.
