Earl Melvin Everett married Helen Gertrude Chatfield 26 Jan 1929 Dubuque, Dubuque, IA

Services for Earl M. Everett, 81, of 2120 Windsor Ave. will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church.

Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 p.m. Friday at the Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where the parish wake service will be said at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Everett worked at the Catholic Daily Tribune in Dubuque, and later for the Dubuque City Street Department until he retired.

He was born Dec 25, 1906, in Dubuque, son of John and Emma (Dambacher) Everett. He died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 1988, at The Finley Hospital.

He married Helen Chatfield in March 1931 in Dubuque. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and its Holy Name Society.

His wife died Feb 5, 1971.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Elza Adams of Dubuque.

An Earl M. Everett Memorial Fund has been established.
