EARL M. SNOUFFER, 91, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009, in Thomasville, Ga. A Fort Wayne native, Earl was the owner of E. W. Snouffer and Son. Some of his projects included the toboggan slide at Pokagon State Park and many of the buildings at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corp veteran, serving in the European Theater. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Fort Wayne Home Lodge 342 F& AM. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Fort Wayne and the Mizpah Shrine. Surviving are his daughters, Marilyn Snouffer of Mobile, Ala. and Helen V. Snouffer of Overland Park, Kan.; sons, Charles (Mary Lou) Snouffer of Fort Wayne and Joseph (Cindy) Snouffer of Thomasville, Ga.; sister, Louise Gotz of Coeur d'alene, Idaho; and grandchildren, Mike, Nicole Hartman, Jeff, Sarah and Molly. Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Snouffer. Burial in Linden-wood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
