Geyer was 35 years old and was employed as a laborer in the Chambersburg Engineering Co. machine shop. His wife died some weeks ago and since then he had been unsuccessfully advertising for a housekeeper. Last night he placed an ad in the Public Opinion for a wife.... They used a lantern for lighting and heating and it is thought that Geyer stumbling around overturned the lantern and set fire to the upstairs.
