Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Eugene and Clara Brannan. He had lived here 14 years. He was employed at the Sheffield Dairy Farm, West End.
A member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church here, he was a member of its Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Special Police Association here, a member of the Monmouth Bowling Club and the Red Bank Businessmen's Bowling League.
A World War II Army veteran, Mr. Brannan was also a member of the Christian Brothers Academy Fathers' Club.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anne Straka Brannan; a son, Robert Brannan, and two daughters, Cynthia and Diana Brannan, all at home.
The funeral will be at 8 am. Wednesday in the Woolley Funeral Home, Long Branch. A Requiem Mass will be offered in St. Jerome's Church at 9 a.m.
