Rita Elizabeth Finn Gorman, 98, died at 4:50 a.m. Jan. 25, 2012, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
She was born July 11, 1913, in Lima to Patrick and Molly Finn, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 12, 1933, she married Thomas J. Gorman, who died Nov. 1, 1978.
Mrs. Gorman retired in 1978 from housekeeping at St. Rita's Medical Center after 17 years. She was a faithful member of St. Rose Catholic Church, for several years, where she was a member of its Altar Rosary Society. She had lived at St. Francis Home for the last several years.
Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Thomas Gorman and James (Janice) Gorman; two daughters, Mary Ann "Mercy Sister Breta" Gorman and Julia (Ronald) Zeigler; and five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by seven siblings and an infant grandson.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose Catholic Church. Father Thomas Gorman will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
