Myrtie grew up the daughter of a strong mother, and a father who was a mining engineer during gold rush times.

She married, had her son Irvin, who she raised as a single mother, making a living as a photographer.

She had a strong spirit, a kind smile, and a sharp tongue.

She loved to crochet and quilt. She made very intricate doilies, which we all still use and enjoy.

She is dearly missed.
