Carolina Augusta Conner was born on May 26, 1902, at Burwell, Nebraska, the daughter of Otto and Mary Elnora Mauer Tetschner and departed this life on October 13, 1982, at the Burwell Communtity hospital at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 16 days.
Carrie grew up and attended school in Garfield county. She married Otis Conner on April 27, 1932, at Ord, Nebraska. They lived and worked in and around Taylor and Burwell until retirement. She had been in failing health for several years.
Survivors include her faithful and devoted husband, Otis; two sisters, Mrs. Charley (Florence) Davenport and Mrs. Wayne (Mable) Nelson; one brother Ernest Tetschner, all of Burwell, and many nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, and a brother Lloyd Sr.
Carrie was a loving and devoted wife and sister. She was baptized into the Christian faith at an early age and she faithfully read her bible each day.
Memorials may be given in her memory to the Burwell Recue Unit.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 16, 1982, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist church with Rev F. Glen Emert officiating.
Burial was in Cottonwood cemetery. Sally Edghill was the organist. Vocalists were Bonnie Pishna and Virginia Olcott. Pallbearers were Clarence Davenport, Lloyd Tetschner Jr., Glenn Tetschner, Jay Dee Tetschner, Roland Peterson and Kenny Nelson.
