Maude Beard
NAPOLEON -- Maude K. Beard, 91, Napoleon, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at Golden Living Center Northcrest, Napoleon.
She was born Nov. 18, 1915, in Lake City, Tenn., the daughter of Sam and Martha (Cooper) Sharpe. In 1942, she married Donald Beard, who survives. She worked at Campbell Soup Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1977.
Also surviving are a son, Ronald (Kathy), Napoleon; a daughter, Betty (Phillip) Chastain, Boston, Ga.; and six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Preceding her in death were a son, Donald; and a daughter, Mary Lou, in infancy.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance, with Rev. Chris Crowe officiating. Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, Napoleon.
Preferred memorials are to the Henry County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
