DEATHS.MOORMAN—Ninth month 30, 1880, at his residence near Jamestown, Ohio, Charles T. Moorman, Sr., in his 86 year; an elder of Dover Monthly Meeting, Ohio. From early manhood his life was devoted to the service of the Master, and like him, went about doing good. He was never known to neglect the attendance of meetings on First day, and the middle of the week, except prevented by sickness. He used to say the establishment of the mid-week meetings for worship was a wise provision of our fore fathers, which ought to be kept up; this he did until his last sickness, which lasted seven weeks, during which he often asked his friends to pray that he might have patience until the last. He said that he was ready to go; that he was putting his trust in the Lord; he was conscious until the last. Thus a devoted servant of the Lord has passed from works to reward. May we who are left to mourn our loss, follow him as he followed Christ.—Christian Worker (New Vienna, Ohio), November 11, 1880, p. 561.
