Flossie Belle Winstead Bennett, 88, Spottsville, died at 7:23 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a graduate of Livermore High School. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and enjoyed genealogy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Bennett, who died Nov. 16, 1988; her parents, Robert Edward Lee Winstead and Mary Oma Dempsey Winstead; and three brothers, Golman Winstead, Andrew Winstead and Alvis Winstead.
Survivors include one daughter, Lealda Spainhoward and her husband, Paul, of Spottsville; one sister, Mary Ernestine Stone of Henderson; five grandchildren, Christopher Robert Edward Bennett and his companion, Jessica Hunt, of Henderson and Eddie Lee Bennett and his wife, Dusty, Julia Mary "Candi" Candace Bennett and her companion, Erick Nelson, Paul Zachary Lee "Zac" Spainhoward and his fiancee, Megan Clark, and Leeton Jewell Bell Spainhoward, all of Spottsville; five great-grandchildren, Cason Bennett of Henderson and Jayden Bennett-Nelson, Caide Bennett-Nelson, Oston Edward Bennett and Sydni Spainhoward, all of Spottsville; two unborn great-grandchildren, Brystall Bennett-Nelson and Baby Bennett; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. Brother Allen Butler will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Lee Bennett, George Nelson, Chris Mullins, Drew Williams, Bobby Hicks, Kenny Powell, Steve Spainhoward and Donnie Spainhoward.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Arthur Ross, Don Brown, W.C. Hancock, Mike Herron and Tony Spainhoward.
