Services for Mrs. Minnie A. Anthony, 87, of the Golden Age Nursing Home, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Quaker Avenue Church of God with the Rev. J. F. Oakley, pastor, officiating, assisted by Evangelist Jack T Vineyard. Burial will be in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under direction of Sanders Funeral Home. Mrs. Anthony died in Lubbock Osteopathic Hospital about 7 a.m. Sunday, following a brief illness. A native of Fannin County, Mrs. Anthony had been a Lubbock resident the past 55 years. She was a member of the Quaker Avenue Church of God.
Survivors include three daughters, Mildred Anthony of Susanville, Calif.; and Mrs. Ruth Bradley and Jessie Anthony, both of Salinas, Calif.; three sons, L. L. Anthony of 4419 56th St., Junior G Anthony of 4616 45th St., and John B Anthony of 2510 46th St. ; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be A. L., G. C. , Dwight and Paul Bevers, Halley Richardson and Joe D. Ruff. (Lubbock Avalanche Journal December 9, 1974)
Note: Pallbear A.L. Bevers is Andrew Liston Bevers, G. C. Bevers is Grover Cleveland Bevers, Dwight is James Dwight Bevers and Paul is Aaron Paul Bevers, nephews of Minnie.
