Known as the Paseo Massacre;
Kansas City MO Police Officers Charles Perrine, Sandy Washington, William Wells, and Charles Neaves were dispatched to 1334 Paseo on a disturbance call.

When the officers arrived they found a drinking party in progress. When they informed the men that they were in violation and would have to accompany them to police headquarters, one of the men objected to the arrest and while looking for his coat suddenly produced a shotgun which he used to kill Officer Neaves. Police Officers Charles Perrine, Sandy Washington, and Sgt Wells were shot and killed by the man's brother.
