He was born October 26, 1932, in Lafayette, IN , to the late Robert and Dorothy Nelson Bushman.
A graduate from Jefferson High School,
He served in the United States Army from December 5, 1952 to October 22, 1954. As a Sgt. And tank commander. In January 21, 1955 he married Beverly Beers and she survives. Mr Bushman worked for AE Kemmer Construction for 34 years as an Onsite Job Superintendent then worked for Purdue University as a Building Construction Inspector and retired after 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being around the Wabash river. He was a fifty year member of the Carpenters Local 215 Union, life member of the Veterans of Foreign War, Korean War Vet. Assoc. lifetime member, American Legion Post # 11, 45 year member, 40/8 Voiture 364 member
Surviving are daughter- Margie Hale husband Randy- West Lafayette, IN; daughter- Valerie Tyson husband Jeff- Battle Ground,IN; son- Robert L. Bushman wife Shana - Lafayette, IN; brother- Bill Bushman- West Lafayette, IN; brother- Randy Bushman- Florida; sister- Cheryl Hawkins- Delphi,IN, and 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday at 5-8pm at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel
Funeral Service 10am Wednesday at Soller-Baker Lafayeytte Chapel. Officiating family member Stanley Knight.
Burial will be at the Tippecanoe Memory Gardens
Preceded in death by sisters Evelyn Knight, Marjorie Nelson.
