Bruce Gregory Kelley, 62, passed away on January 16, 2012 Inurnment Service: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington, TX. Bruce was born in McKinney, Texas, to Arletta and James Kelley on Feb 6, 1949. He passed away on January 16, 2012, in Arlington, TX. Bruce grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. He volunteered for the army and served 2 years in Viet Nam. After returning home, he earned a BBA in Finance at UT Arlington. Bruce had a sense of adventure and spent several years traveling in California, prospecting for gold. He also enjoyed traveling the US in his RV. Later, Bruce developed several chronic illnesses and had to settle down. He loved the Texas country side and enjoyed being close to nature. He bought land in Bowie, Texas, to retire and pursue his interest in the stock market and day trading. When his health continued to deteriorate, he returned to Arlington to be near his family and to assist with his mother's care. He continued to find enjoyment in the outdoors. His family found him to be a unique, intelligent person and a loving, caring son, brother, and uncle. He was very strong in his Christian faith and looked forward to a time when he would be whole again. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, James Kelley. He is survived by his mother, Arletta Kelley, and his two sisters, Gloria and husband Les Studdard, Tommie and husband Vance Stough; niece, Dr. Kelley Studdard and husband Cyle Foley; Nephews, Jason McAfee and wife Misty, and Christopher Stough and great nephew, Ace McAfee.
