Leona Mae Dobbins,76, of Heavener,formerly of Haskell, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 at The Oaks Health Care Center in Poteau.

She was born in Haskell, on September 13, 1935 to Lloyd and Goldie Walters,Carmichael.
Leona attended school in Haskell and was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed bingo and was a collector of all kinds of dolls.One of her favorite foods was catfish.She dearly loved the old western TV programs with Gene Autry and John Wayne. Her Chihuahua,Sissy ,will especially miss her.

Ms. Dobbins is preceded in death by her parents;husband,5 daughters, 1 son,3 sisters,4 grandchildren,and great grandchild.
She leaves behind 2 daughters,Rebecca Mennenga of Clintonville,WI,Louise Richards and her husband Gene of Heavener,6 brothers,Leo Carmichael of Collinsville,Vearl Carmichael of Owasso,Robert Carmichael, of Haskell,and Dale Carmichael of Owasso,4 sisters;Pearl Hargrove and Julia Dobbins both of Haskell,Jeannie Borden of Owasso,and Gail Britt of Henryetta,
6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren,11 great grandchildren,with one on the way.

Graveside services will be held at Jan. 26 in the Haskell Cemetery with Rev James Lacey officiating. Dowdy Funeral Home will direct.
