Lois I. Howard died at the Covenant Village of Colorado in Westminster, Colorado. She was the daughter of Charles and Blanche (McClurg) Bellamy. She was raised and educated in Haxton, Colo., before moving to Douglas in 1929. She married Arthur W. Howard on May 6, 1933, in Harrison, Neb. They resided on their farm west of Douglas until 1963 when they moved to Douglas. She worked for Frontier Drug from 1963 until she retired in 1990. She is survived by children Jackie Hern and husband Bill of Cheyenne, Duane Howard and wife Karen of Riverton and Eileen Warpness and husband Arne orf Arvada, Colo.; grandchildren Mike Hern of Kingman, Ariz., Brett Hern of Las Vegas, Nev., Cheri Hern of Denver, Michael Howard of Rapid City, S.D., Stephanie Anderson of Great Falls, Mont., Dr. Jason Howard of Riverton, Jared Howard of Sheridan, Sean Hixenbaugh of Arvada and Rachelle Delgado of Arvada; one sister, 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
