Funeral services were held for Joseph Clifton Garcie Jr., age 47, on Monday, July 27, at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Danny Walsh officiated. Burial was held in St. Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
Mr. Garcie died on Saturday, July 25, at DeSoto General Hospital in Mansfield.
Mr. Garcie served as an MP in the 82nd Airborne Division.
He is survived by his parents, Clifton and Bertie Garcie of Noble; two sisters, Shirley Atchison of Mobile, Ala., Doris Whitehead of Shreveport; two brothers, Pat Garcie, and Chris Garcie, both of Zwolle; two nieces, Connie Whitehead of Shreveport, Alicia Atchison of New Orleans; and one nephew, Jimmy Garcie of Shreveport.
Pallbearers were Alfred A. Atchison, Ben Whitehead, Terry Ebarb, Sammy Procell, Wendell Castillo, and Elie Ebarb Jr.
