SHIPPENSBURG -- Sarah E. "Betty" Fleagle, age 93, of Shippensburg, Pa. died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, in Chambersburg Hospital. Born May 29, 1910, in Milton, Pa., she was a daughter of the late F.A. and Grace I. DeHart Arnold. A graduate of Lewisburg High School, she had been employed at Knouse Foods in Chambersburg and served as the assistant postmaster in Fannettsburg for 12 years. A resident of Shippensburg for 27 years, she then moved to Fannettsburg where she lived for 50 years. She enjoyed reading and cross stitching. Her husband, Ralph Fleagle, died Nov. 18, 1995. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra E. (Mrs. Gerald) Rosenberry of Shippensburg; a son, Ronald W. and wife Peggy Fleagle of Amberson; daughter-in-law, Alberta Fleagle of St. Thomas; a sister, Carrie A. Peebles of Lake Forest, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren' and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ralph LeRoy Jr. and Francis R. Fleagle. Burial, Metal Methodist Cemetery.
