Mrs. Helena Barthule, 50, wife of Jacob Barthule, passed away on Thusday afternoon following an illness of two years.
She was born March 25, 1888, in Sumaria, Russia, and was married to Jacob Barthule in Balsa, Russia, on Feb. 14,1908.
They came from Russia to Lincoln, Nebraska in 1912 and later moved to Montana. They lived in Melstone 12 years and have lived in Broadwater County about 10 years.
She is survived by her husband, seven sons Alex, Jacob, Fritz, David, John, George, and Robert; four daughters, Mrs.Lidia Vanmeter, Betty, Catherine, and Mrs. Marie Wilson of Twin Butte.
The body was taken to the family home from Connors Mortuary and services will be held there this Saturday. Burial in Centerville Cemetery.
