George also was a patrolman in Albion, Michigan from 1903-1905, he also succeded his son (Clyde J.) as Chief of Police, in Albion. George served in that position from 31 March 1926-1930, when the then incoming Mayor of Albion asked George to resign as Chief of Police. They had opposed each other in the election.
This marrage was to be blessed with two sons named Elmer A. born in 1893 & Clyde J. born in 1895, both Stoddard's and both born in Albion, Michigan.
