Margaret A. Schroeder, 87, of Sodus, died early Sunday morning, Sept. 29, 2002, at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph, Berrien County, Michigan.
Mrs. Schroeder was born Dec. 14, 1914, in St. Joseph, the daughter of Otto and Minnie (Hingst) Hinz and she had resided in this area all of her life. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1932.
On June 1, 1935, in St. Joseph, she married Ervin Schroeder. He preceded her in death on June 11, 1978.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sodus, where she sang in the church choir and was active in the Ladies Aid.
She is survived by two daughters; Doris (Harry) Case of Sodus and Margaret (David) Froehlich of St. Joseph; a son, Ronald (Paula) Schroeder of Sodus; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Norman Schroeder in 1953; and a brother, Edward Hinz.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sodus, with the Rev. Robert Duehlmeyer officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Sodus.
