ARCOLA - Paul A. "Doc" Wingler Jr., 84, of Arcola died Saturday (Jan. 21, 2012). Graveside services will be held at a later date. Edwards Funeral Home of Arcola is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Wingler was born on May 31, 1927 near Hindsboro, the son of Paul A. and Mary M. (Herrington) Wingler. He married Martha G. Andrews in 1957; she survives, residing in Mattoon. Other survivors include one son, Jay D. Wingler of Elkhorn, Nev.; one daughter, Paula Miller of Durango, Colo.; one sister, Pauline V. Lane of Mattoon; and two grandchildren. Mr. Wingler was a farmer in the Hindsboro and Arcola areas. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict with the 7th Army in Germany. Memorials may be made to the Arcola Public Library.
