Alvin "Gus" Wiblemo was born Aug 18, 1902 to Gunder and Marie Hanson Wiblemo at Decorah, Iowa. He moved to Parker, SD as a child and was graduated from Parker High School in 1920. He married Audrae Ervin on Aug 10, 1926 in Sioux Falls. They moved to Mitchell, SD in 1936 and entered the liquor business with his father. Later, Mr Wiblemo operated the business himself and continued there for 40 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and was active for many years in the Lakeview Golf Club. He is survived by three sons, Ronald, Mitchell, Jerald, Auburn, WA, and Andrew, Seal Beach, CA; three daughters, Mrs Don (Ann) Barnhart, White River, Mrs Carl (Marilyn) Buchner, Columbia, MO, and Mrs Paul (Carol) Heilstedt, Frankfort, IL; one sister, Mrs Pearl Johnson, Denver, CO; 31 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, two sisters, one brother and one great-granddaughter.
