Edward A "Eddie" Flowers, 64, of Jesup died March 27, 2005, after and extended illnes. The Wayne County native was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and was a retired employee of the City of Jesup. He was a former employeed of Brunswick McMiller Auto Parts. He was predeceased by his father, Aubrey Flowers; a sister, Peggy Flowers; paternal grandparents, Georgia Arnett and Nathan "Bud" Flowers; maternal grandparents, Georgia Manning and Robert R "Bob" Taylor; mother and father-in-law, James "Jim" Kirkland Sr. and Idell Mincey Kirkland; uncles, James "Jim" Taylor, N. A. and Ausby Flowers, Chaarlie and Zellie Manning; aunts, Dora T Williams; sister-in-law Willene Kirkland; brother-in-law James T Kirkland Jr.

Survivors are his wife of 44 years, Audine Kirkland Flowers of Jesup; a daughter and son-in-law Joyce F and John Howel of Jesup; two sons and daughter-in-law James Edward "Ed" Flowers of Jesup and Gary and Mary Ann Flowers of Screven; his mother Mauisse Flowers; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Bennie and Bill Hammond of Palatka, Fla., and Donna Flowers of Jesup; four brothers and three sister-in-law, Ben and Carol Flowers of Palatka, Fla., Dwight and Diana Flower, Fulton Flowers of Pleasant Hill, Calif., and Anthony and Laurie Flowers of Jesup; seven grandchildren, Garret J Flowers, Gracie Flowers, Mathew D. Flowers, Venessa Flowers, Blake A Howell, Jordan Howell, Austin Howell; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) from Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Shon Cunningham, Elder Tommy Kelly and the Rev. Jim Elliott officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy. 301 in Jesup.
