Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 2, 1923 to Rineholt H. Dittmer and Catherina Nordhoff Dittmer. Passed away on January 21, 2012.

Married Paul Hyrum Dille on November 24, 1941 in Salt Lake City. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake City, LDS Temple. Together they had four children, Richard (Julie) Dille, Dorothy (John D. "Johnnie") Marchant, Susan Dille Green, and Dennis Dille.

Dorothy worked and retired from Litton Industries and, was an active member of the Holladay Twenty-Sixth Ward.

Preceded in death by parents, husband, six siblings, and four grandchildren. Survived by children, twenty grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express thanks to Sandy Regional Care Center and Dorothy Marchant for the loving care she provided in her home over the past five years.

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East).
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 prior to interment in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
