She was born on Jan. 15, 1940 in Francisco, IN to Russell "Howard" and Mabel (McKinney) Beasley.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She graduated in 1961 from Oakland City University with BS Degree and from Indiana State University in 1972 with Masters in Education.
Carol started her teaching career at Indianapolis, then Oaktown and Poseyville before returning to East Gibson School Corporation. She spent her last 32 years at Francisco Elementary School to finish 37 year career in teaching.
She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, and Life member of N.E.A. and I.R.T.A. and Oakland City University Alumni Association. And also member of Forsythe United Methodist Church.
Surviving husband of 29 years William "Bill" Miller of Oakland City, IN
Son: Stacey Lynch of Newburgh, IN
Step-Daughter: Sheryl Crum of Marianna, Fla.
Brother: Howard Duane Beasley of Francisco, IN
Grandsons: Matthew and Scott Crum (2) Great Grandchildren
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday January 24, 2012 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Forsythe Cemetery. Rev.Tom Deen will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday at the chapel and from 8:00 A.M. until services.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions given to Forsythe Cemetery, envelopes will be available at chapel.
