Mrs. Stella T Blaszak, 91, of South Main St, who was a self-employed beautician in Silver Springs for 35 years and enjoyed reading, cooking and playing golf, died Saturday (July 2, 2005) at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
She was born July 13, 1913, in Leroy, a daughter of the late Louis and Anna Markiewicz Brzezowski.
Mrs. Blaszak retired in 1976. She was a longtime member of St Mary's Church in Silver Springs and the Altar & Rosary member of the church. She was a member of the Wyoming County Hairdresser's Association, the Columbiettes of Sebring, FL and Silver Lake Country Club.
She was the wife of the late Frank B Blaszak, who died in 1986, and the sister of the late Stanley and John Brzezowski and Catherine McLaughlin.
She is survived by a son, Frank M Blaszak of Richmond Va; a daughter, Anna Mae (Barney) Balmas of Castile; a daughter in law, Patricia R. Blaszak of Colonial Heights, VA; two sisters, Lottie Mead of Silver Springs and Sophia Balonek of Leroy; five grandchildren, Frank Blaszak III of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Michael (Laurie) Blaszak of Dinwiddie, VA, Daniel (Becky) Blaszak of Colonial Heights, VA, Nita Balmas of Liverpool and William (Colleen) Blaszak of Richmond, VA; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 Wednesday at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 North Main St, Warsaw. Prayers will be said at 10:15 am Thursday at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St Mary's Church in Silver Springs. Burial will be at St Francis Cemetery in Leroy. A Rosary service will begin at 6:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St Mary's Church or Silver Springs Rescue Squad.
