Furneral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Sherrill Cemetery in Jackson County for William R Clement, 62, a former lumberman, who died yesterday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock at his home on 137 Carrier Street, following a long illness.
The funeral party will leave the home Tuesday at noon. Mr. Clement had lived in Asheville nearly all his life. He was a native of Sevierville, Tenn.
He is survived by his widow Mollie Clement, and six sons, Henry, Harley, Houston, John and Tyler Clement all of Asheville and Lee Clement of Houston, Tex: two daughters, Mrs. Cora Shytle and Mrs. Fannie Harris of Asheville, and three sisters, Mrs Mary Frye of Asheville, Mrs. Etta Sheehan of Waynesville and Mrs. Charlote Hodges of Tennessee. Dunn-Groce funeral home is in charge.
