Sarah Holly Chivers Weaver died about 1805, at which time there were six children who were still juveniles, the youngest of whom was about five years old. Two years later, he married Susannah Jones Hughey, a widow with seven children ranging in age from one to fourteen.

He was living in Morgan County by 1811 and served as Elder of Holland Springs Baptist Church in Morgan County. He made his will in Morgan County on July 10, 1817. His estate was inventoried on September 12, 1817. He was buried in Jenkins Cemetery on the South River in Morgan/Baldwin County.
