WILLIAM KOEBER PASSES AWAY NEAR ALEXANDRIA
Stroke of Apoplexy Proves Fatal to Prominent Citizen of Clark County
Alexandria, Mo., Mar. 25--Wm. Koeber, a well know and highly respected citizen and retired farmer of one and one-half miles west of Alexandria passed away on Tuesday about 3:30 p.m. from a stroke of apoplexy.
Mr. Koeber had been repairing a pasture fence close to his home and was found near the fence by members of his family soon after having fallen. Dr. Rebo was called an pronounced death as instantaneous.
Mr. Koeber was born in Laurenceburg, Indiana, and came here at the age of 7 years and has made his home here the remainder of his life.
He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife and four daughters, Mrs. Oscar Bryant and Helen Koeber of Alexandria, Mrs. Edith Shaw of Alameda, Calif., and Mrs. Esther Henshaw of Davenport, Iowa, several grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of relatives and friends.
Mr. Koeber has been a member of the Presbyterian Church and a constant attendant for many years at which place he will be greatly missed. He was very devoted to his family and a wonderful neighbor and friend to all.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, conducted by his pastor, Rev. Vernon Miller.
