Mina Bailey was born near Aurora, Nebraska, on April 5, 1890 and passed from this life at Hastings, Nebr., on June 12, 1934 at the age of 44 years, 2 months and 7 days.
On December 24, 1906 she was married to Archie Arnett of Phillips, Nebraska. The first eight years of their married life was spent at Phillips, and then in 1914 they moved to Litchfield, where Mr. Arnett entered business. Two children were born to this union, one of whom, Bernice, preceded her mother in death by the short space of ten weeks.
Mrs. Arnett united with the Christian Church at Aurora, Nebr., when she was still a young girl. Later, during the period that she and Mr. Arnett lived at Phillips, she united with the Methodist church at that place, and in the church she held her membership at the time of her death. She was a good woman, one of the kind whose highest aspiration it is to live right.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Bernice, as mentioned elsewhere, also by her father and mother, a brother and a sister. The brother, Charles died in infancy, and her sister, Mrs. Vey Roberts, died seven years ago.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Archie Arnett and a daughter, Mrs. Iola Dickerson of Litchfield. She also leaves six sisters. They are: Mrs. Edna Smith of Yukon, Oklahoma; Mrs. LaVern Quigley of Greeley, Colorado; Mrs. Dora Perry of Aurora, Nebraska; Mrs. Alta Eggert of Aurora, Nebraska; Mrs. Alice Mears of Kearney, Nebraska; and Mrs. Emma Garret of Aurora, Nebraska.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Christian Church, with Rev. A.W. Johnson, pastor of the local Methodist Church in charge of the service. The body was taken overland to Phillips, Neb., where interment was made in the Phillips Cemetery.
